London – August 6th 2025 – The KNHS, the governing body for equestrian sport in the Netherlands, and leading international equestrian sports network Horse & Country (H&C) today announced they are joining forces in a wide-ranging partnership featuring significant benefits for their respective memberships.

At the heart of the new arrangement is the creation of KNHS TV, a channel on H&C’s streaming service, H&C+, where KNHS members and H&C+ members will have free access to live and on-demand streams of KNHS events. These include the forthcoming Hippiade, KNHS’s annual outdoor championships, with over 2,000 entries and running from 12th – 23rd August. KNHS members will also be able to view selected highlights coverage from major events such as The Dutch Masters, Indoor Friesland and Outdoor Gelderland on the KNHS TV channel page.

In addition to the sports coverage KNHS members can also enjoy selected H&C behind-the-scenes content, offering exclusive insight into the lives of leading riders. Titles include the documentary series De Wereld van Luiten (Luiten’s World), offering an intimate look into the life of Marten Luiten, a rising star in the Netherland’s dressage scene, and Born to Ride, a documentary profile of showjumping superstar Nicola Philippaerts.

As well as free access to the KNHS TV channel, KNHS members can take advantage of a 50% discount on H&C+ membership, giving them access to the full range of content on the platform including domestic and international equestrian competitions, training videos, documentaries and H&C’s forthcoming and much-awaited reality series, Blackfort Equestrian All Star Academy.

The partnership also extends to H&C’s TV channel, Horse & Country, which has extensive distribution on cable platforms in the Netherlands and regularly reaches over half a million viewers each week (Source: NMO, the media audience measurement authority in The Netherlands). Selected classes from Hippiade and other KNHS events will be broadcast live on Horse & Country, significantly extending the KNHS’s overall media exposure as well as growing the reach of horse sport in the Netherlands.

On behalf of H&C Chairman and CEO, Heather Killen, said, “We’re delighted to announce this partnership. The combination of the KNHS’s huge membership base and world-class events with H&C’s reach across digital and broadcast platforms will raise the profile of horse sport further still in this passionate equestrian market.”

Esther Hendriksen, Manager of Communications, Marketing, Sponsorship & Riding School Sports at the KNHS, commented on the partnership with H&C, “This collaboration not only increases the visibility of our sport and allows us to reach a wider audience, but also offers our members access to a renowned media channel with excellent equestrian content. Through the KNHS TV channel on H&C+, they can enjoy our major events, such as the Hippiade, live and on-demand for free, and find inspiration and enjoyment from exclusive horse content. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to make equestrian sports more accessible and attractive to all horse lovers in the Netherlands.”
