Go behind the scenes at Equitour Aalborg with Horse & Country

A great new programme on Horse & Country takes you behind the scenes at Equitour Aalborg, which is one of the biggest shows in Denmark.

FEI Nations Cup

Equitour Aalborg in Uggerhalne hosts FEI Nations Cups in both dressage and jumping, welcoming elite riders from all around the world.

The show is organised by Danish Olympic rider Andreas Helgstrand and event organiser Jens Trabjerg, who was the director of the 2013 European championships in Herning.

In this behind-the-scenes magazine show, Horse & Country presenter Elenore Simberg secures an exclusive interview with Andreas, as well a number of top riders. She is also treated to a tour of the custom-built stable complex, which is home to 250 horses during the show.

Folk festival

Equitour Aalborg is only in its second year, but Andreas and Jens have big plans for the show, and are aiming to make it one of the most popular legs of the FEI Nations Cup series, for both riders and spectators.

Alongside the sport they have organised a folk festival, with a fairground, food market, exhibition area and concert space to create an exciting atmosphere for all the family.
